SWIM MEET CANCELLED 6/28

Tonight’s swim meet against Winchester Country Club has been CANCELLED due to the current air quality.
The Conference sent out the following to teams this morning: “There is an air quality alert in Lexington today due to the Canadian wildfires. Given the situation, it is up to the teams to decide whether to compete tonight. Please get with your opposing coach ASAP to make a decision and communicate it promptly to the swimmers and parents.
Whether or not teams choose to compete, this will not count against swimmers' Conference eligibility as long as they were entered in the meet.”
Per guidance by the National Weather service, we have decided to cancel. The National Weather Service advised the following in today’s air quality alert “Everyone may experience health effects. Members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects. Sensitive groups include the elderly...children...persons with asthma or other breathing problems...and persons with lung and heart disease. People in these groups are advised to greatly limit their outdoor activities to reduce their exposure to ozone and particulate pollution.”
